11/12 is a serrated instrument used to break down medium to heavy calculus deposits into small fragments, facilitating their removal.
Used interproximally. File surfaces on both sides allow for push or pull application.

. Very easy to gouge tooth surfaces

Application:
. Modified pen grasp
. Appropriate fulcrum
. Full working surface adapted flat to tooth avoid trauma/gouging
. Vertical coronal pull stroke
. Follow up with curettes
