Misura Composite Filling Instrument – Silicone Handle
The Misura Composite Filling Instrument is a specialized double-ended restorative dental instrument designed for controlled horizontal and vertical assessment of composite layer thickness during anterior aesthetic restorations. It assists clinicians in maintaining appropriate layering proportions when working with dentine, enamel and translucent composite materials.
The thin conical working tip is used after dentine composite layering and before polymerization. By positioning the tip against the natural tooth enamel, the underlying unpolymerized composite can be gently modeled to maintain approximately 0.5–0.7 mm of space for the subsequent enamel composite layer.
The opposite thicker and shorter working tip is positioned horizontally at the prepared cavity margin, with the edge aligned to the original enamel. This assists in determining the appropriate amount of translucent composite required at the finishing line and supports controlled development of the final restoration.
Accurate control of composite layer thickness can help clinicians reproduce balanced opaque and translucent layers during aesthetic anterior restorations. The instrument features an ergonomic silicone handle for a comfortable, secure and non-slip grip during precise restorative procedures.
